The wheel is nice and quiet compared to so many others and sits outside the cage making more room inside the cage. The hamsters actually use the “Outhouse” as a bedroom, so the purchase of potty litter was not necessary. It’s funny to find two or three of these dwarf hamsters crammed in that tiny space! Sometimes I’d find one of the hamsters sleeping in the top round-about piece, but haven’t see much other use for that piece. I had initially purchased this item at Petsmart and took it back after I found it on Amazon at a cheaper price (and since I was purchasing some other items on Amazon). Would definitely recommend this!
